The Challenge

Dilworth School first approached us in mid-2023 in search of an overhaul from their outdated content management system (CMS), Concrete 5, and some immediate support in digital marketing leading up to the enrolment season in early 2024.

The new build and marketing campaign needed to provide authentic insight into Dilworth School, showcasing who it is, what it does, and how all current and prospective Dilworth students, families, and sponsors can be part of its wider community.

The Solution

To resolve Dilworth school’s immediate need for awareness generation for its enrolment season in the new year, some Search and Display campaigns were launched on Google and social media before the website development project got underway.

With the digital platform, Umbraco was put forward as the solution because it ticked a lot of boxes for client requirements, which included:

  • User-friendly and fluid CMS for Dilworth’s in-house marketing team
  • A responsive website that caters for users on all device types
  • Seamless integrations with all of their existing systems for the parents’ portal, admissions forms, and donation tool etc.
  • Robust security and SEO-friendliness

After a comprehensive discovery session, we developed a new information architecture (IA) that was much simpler and more logical, one that would achieve streamlined user navigation. Our in-house team of developers, content strategists, and digital marketing experts worked together to deliver a site with a fresh look and feel that was also highly fit-for-purpose and functional.

The Results

Two key performance indicators (KPIs) for Dilworth School’s success in this digital project were external traffic to the website and the number of online applications. We’re pleased to say that we achieved success in both areas.

With our digital marketing campaigns, Dilworth saw an increase in online applications during their enrolment season in 2024 compared to 2023 while maintaining a high calibre of applicants.

Furthermore, since the website launch in June 2024, Dilworth’s organic traffic increased compared to the preceding period, and the average engagement time has also increased for the same period.
