The Project:
Making content from TVNZ's channels available online was a big
deal - users would finally be able to access their favourite shows
through their browser. It was very important for the adoption of
the service that users be quickly brought up to speed on how to use
it, and Terabyte was approached to design and deliver an immersive
and interactive guide to the site.
Working in collaboration with TVNZ and a film production
company, we produced and edited green screen footage of TV
personality Dominic Bowden, who would act as the guide, taking
users through the site in a series of video pieces. Additional
animated elements were built in, and supporting textual content
made sure no user was left behind.
The end result was a flash application hosted on the site when
it launched, it's extremely high production values and ease of use
ensuring that TVNZ's landmark service was understood by all.
