The Project:
The requirements were simple: the site had to reflect the new
Terabyte brand, it had to continue the good work our existing
website was doing in servicing our clients (and winning us new
ones), and it had to serve as an example of the high quality work
we deliver.
The site was built from the ground up to be flexible,
accessible, and allow users to quickly find information about who
we are, what we do, and the projects we've undertaken in our time
as one of New Zealand's premier web design & development
companies. Built with webstandards and best practice in mind, the
framework of the site adjusts itself to the user and the
environment they're browsing the site in. Additional functionality
is built in using Javascript, but the site degrades gracefully if
the user has it disabled on their machine.
Clients browsing the site can easily filter the projects in our
portfolio by category, company or region to view just the type of
project they're interested in.
Like all good websites we make regular improvements usually
deploying functional updates on about a monthly basis.
The most recent has been the Australian version of the Terabyte
website which is driven by the same Umbraco CMS Database but
allows us to feature different projects on the home page plus a few
other practical differences.
