Our Services
The Project:
Te Taiwhenua O Heretaungta is the Iwi Authority for Ngāti
Kahungunu and supports and represents the collective issues of the
six Taiwhenua in the Ngāti Kahungunu Iwi rohe - Wairoa, Whanganui a
Orotu, Heretaunga, Tamatea, Tamakinui a Rua and Wairarapa.
They provide many services to the local community including
Education, Health and Social Services, many of it free. However,
many people are unaware of these services so the main purpose of
the website was to promote all the services and community work that
they offer.
Te Taiwhenua O Heretaungta were wonderful to us during the
project kick-off, taking us on a day long workshop journey of their
origins, cultural and spiritual heritage, and their vision and
mission. They also put in a huge effort in producing the content
for the Umbraco website, most of it having to be developed from
scratch as this project was their debut website.
This project was an honour for Terabyte to be involved with.
