The Project:
The problem
The Sir Peter Blake Trust was formed to honour the
legacy of our beloved national hero. Preparing for the 10 Year
Anniversary Tribute of Sir Peter Blake's death, the Trust came to
Terabyte for a new website to commemorate Sir Peter Blake by
telling his story and his legacy through the Trust's environmental
and leadership programmes.
The solution
Our creative team were committed to paying homage to
this extraordinary man and his achievements on and off the water.
Through the use of exclusive video footage within the homepage and
inspirational photography visitors are given a visual insight into
his spirit, dedication to young people and an opportunity to relive
his adventures.
A raft of social media tools were included on the
website to enable visitors to share the content online as well as
an easy to use CMS.
The result
The launch of the website during the 10 Year Anniversary Tribute
was a success and well received by the community.
We have since added a new section called "About Sir Peter Blake"
collectively embarking on re-telling Sir Peter's story, not only
for a new generation of New Zealanders but also to a global
audience.
And in mid 2012 we built an integrated expedition blog to
support the Kermadek Islands
Expedition.
