The Project:
Promapp is a New Zealand company with a simple, web based
software offering for creating and storing business processes
online. It's simple, accessible, and enables broad
stakeholder engagement. Process improvements and changes are
performed and approved all online. In the interests of
extending accessibility even further, Promapp approached Terabyte
to create a series of interfaces designed specifically for
touchscreens.
The Promapp Touchscreen was designed to make it as easy as
possible for onsite employees to learn and accurately execute
processes. Step by step instructions, supported by short
videos and clear pictures keeps the processes simple and easy to
interpret quickly in environments that may be noisy and
distracting. Big iconic buttons enable an employee to select
the process via touch, then the specific numbered step, then to
play the instructional video or view the photo.
As part of a broad design strategy for Promapp, the touchscreen
styling and colour palette is akin to their website, whilst still
uniquely touch enabled.
