The Project:
The Rocky Shores project takes a look at the formation of
Auckland's shoreline, the various types of shoreline and the
creatures that inhabit it.
Executed as a kiosk, Rocky Shores sits in support of three large
dioramas within Auckland Museum. Animated sequences depict
the formation of Auckland's shoreline over millions of years as a
result of volcanic activity and erosion. The overall objective was
to help visitors understand the differences between each of the
three shorelines, both in terms of how they were formed and the
different creatures that live in each environment.
Terabyte took the entire project from concept to completion -
handling all aspects of the build, including extensive research,
content gathering, producing location photography, and even
providing the talent for the presentations voiceover!
