The Project:

The Oceans Gallery at Auckland Museum features a painstakingly re-created underwater wall from the Poor Knights islands.  Often overlooked by visitors, Terabyte created an interactive viewing panel, integrated with the physical exhibit, that attracts people to the wall and encourages them to explore the many secrets hidden amongst the crevices.

Our character, and animated Red Moki fish affectionately known as the "dudefish", swims inside a portrait mounted 42" plasma screen and leads visitors on a journey around the wall, introducing short video segments, stills and information on fish as well as invertebrate species.

As a result, the wall is not often overlooked anymore, and the stories of the creatures that live in this amazing environment are being told to an engaged audience.

Our Services

Development

Development is where the beautiful, and beautifully coded, interfaces we design are given the technical heft to ensure that your objectives, and your users’ requirements, are met.

We were the first company in New Zealand to build a content managed website, and the first in the country to implement a site on the Microsoft .net platform (our development weapon of choice). We have some of the finest, most capable nerds in the business, and when experience counts – we have it.
