The Project:

Wanting to bring a more interactive digital experience to their visitors, Kuala Lumpur's Aquaria turned to Terabyte to build a series of touchscreen kiosks, a content management system to control the digital assets that formed their content, and a deployment engine to allow easy updating across a local network.

Two distinct interfaces were built - one to help users navigate around the Aquarium's various containment tanks and highlight the varied species contained within them, and a series of "Journey" kiosks which put the user in charge of a virtual submarine, hunting for information on particular species - sharks, humpback whales, and the elusive giant squid. Terabyte undertook the task of researching the subject matter at hand and producing the kiosk content (we're nearly ready to go swimming again).

All the kiosks were to be maintained from a central location, so Terabyte built a web basedCMSto house the content, making updating or even reassigning any particular kiosk a simple operation, able to be run entirely from the browser - cool, yes?
