The Terabyte Story
Founded in May 1990 we are one of New Zealand's pioneering
digital design companies.
Pre-internet saw us offering print design services which quickly
developed into designing ground-breaking digital interactive CD
ROMS, award-winning educational games and interactive
touch-screen kiosks.
From 1994 to 1998 INL (Independent Newspapers
Ltd, at the time closely associated with Rupert Murdoch's News
Corp, now merged into Sky Network Television) progressively
invested in Terabyte. In 1999 Terabyte was sold to IT Capital.
The world renowned Virtual Spectator grew
out of a joint venture between Terabyte and Dunedin's Animation
Research and with the advent of the internet we made waves globally
by winning awards in Europe and the USA.
In 2002 Terabyte returned to private ownership with Doug Hanna
increasing his holding to 100% in 2007.
We're one of New Zealand's leaders in internet web design and
development with an enviable list of blue chip clients and a
talented team of 30 very experienced people.
Integrity, innovation, research and devotion to our clients are
the hallmarks we live by.
